The Blackbird Gallery 18 William Street Kilkenny, houses an impressive collection of national and international works both on canvas and paper. Artists such as Louis Le Brocquy, Anne Madden, Charles Cullen, Barbara Rae hang alongside some of Irelands most exciting emerging artists forming a wonderful cross section of the very best of what Ireland has to offer. Established in 2004 The Blackbird has expanded in January of 2009 proving yet again that its choice of work is good enough to inspire confidence in both artists and clients alike, it is fast gaining a reputation as one of the very best galleries in Ireland. A visit to the gallery is a must do when in Kilkenny, The gallery is open to the public, Friday, Saturday and some Sundays. Also by appointment.

 Kilkenny Arts festival information: The gallery official opening is 3pm Saturday 6th of August. This year the gallery features the works of Artists Ken Browne, Kathleen Holohan and William Grace.

The gallery will be open everyday during the festival from 10am to 6pm Sundays included.
