Manga Mania hits the Blackbird Art Lab, Kilkenny's newest Art School


The Blackbird Gallery despite the recession continues to go from strength to strength.
It is about to launch its latest venture, The Blackbird Art Lab which will offer classes to children, teenagers and adults in a variety of Art skills. Manga Illustration workshops are about to take Kilkenny by storm with the first workshop already full y subscribed.
With two further workshops scheduled for October, the course is one of the most complete available and will include,
manga design and visuals, penciling, inking, storytelling and some study of colour and the history of Manga Art .
The Blackbird Art Lab will also be offering adult classes in the following mediums: Watercolour, Oil, Print and Mixed Media.
We will also be running classes in Life Drawing and Comic Illustration for all age groups and budding artists.
